Where to Buy/How to Collect Vintage Corelle

The great news is that vintage Corelle can be found at many thrift stores all across the United States. Sometimes people find it for sale locally on Facebook Marketplace or in Craigslist listings. One interesting way is to let your friends and family know that you are interested in Corelle and you may be amazed what people give you.

I started collecting vintage Corelle because I wanted everyday dinnerware that was durable and lightweight. Not having a particularly large kitchen I needed dishes that stacked well. Since I have always enjoyed mixing and matching patterns Corelle appealed to me because you can usually come home with a few pieces after visiting a few thrift stores. It also appealed to me because it reminded me of my grandmother's kitchen, and the warm cozy feeling of eating with her I have from my childhood.

Corelle has so many patterns and they keep making new. When you go to thrift stores you can almost always find pieces, but the vintage patterns are just starting to be more difficult to find. This is the time to start collecting before it becomes a "thing".
